Licence of the Overdrive Québec mods for American Truck Simulator

The Overdrive Québec mods for American Truck Simulator belong to Overdrive Québec. Only community members may use them, for free, installed by the Overdrive launcher, to play. Nobody else may modify them, and nobody may share them, re-upload them, or extract files or data from them. SCS Software's game and Slav Jerry's sounds remain their authors'. This English text is a translation: the French version prevails.

Section 1

Who owns the mods

The original files of the Overdrive Québec mod, meaning all of its .scs modules, their 3D models, textures, texts, settings and data, are the work and property of Overdrive Québec. All rights reserved.

Only Overdrive Québec may modify, fix or publish them. Content by other authors included with their permission remains theirs (section 5).

Section 2

Who may use them

You may use the mods if you are a member of the Overdrive Québec community: you go through the Overdrive launcher and you respect the server rules, the terms of use and this licence. Terms of use

To receive the mod and its updates, you also need, in the launcher, a Steam account linked to your Discord account, the American Truck role on the Le Bunker QC Discord and acceptance of the terms of use.

Section 3

What you may do

Install the mods with the Overdrive launcher, and only that way.

Use them to play American Truck Simulator, alone or in convoy.

Make screenshots, videos and live streams showing the mods, even monetised ones. A mention of Overdrive Québec is appreciated.

Section 4

What is forbidden

Without Overdrive Québec's written permission, you may not:

  • share, redistribute, re-upload or host the files elsewhere, even for free: Steam Workshop, mod sites, the cloud, Discord, torrents, or by sharing your download links;
  • modify, adapt, translate, repack or merge the mods, in whole or in part;
  • extract or reuse their files, models, textures, sounds, settings or data, including in another mod;
  • sell the mods, charge for them or include them in a paid product;
  • get around the members-only access or the launcher's checks;
  • present the mods as your own work or remove their credits.

Section 5

Other authors' content

American Truck Simulator, its content and its trademarks belong to SCS Software. The mods require a legal copy of the game. Overdrive Québec is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by SCS Software.

The engine sounds were created by Slav Jerry and belong to him. He gave us his written permission to include them unchanged in the Overdrive Québec mod, for free and for our server only. They are never uploaded on their own, and they will be removed if he asks.

The mods hold no model, material or texture taken from a paid DLC. The Steam Workshop mods we name, such as the Ultimate Graphics Mod, belong to their authors: Steam downloads them for you, under their own terms.

Section 6

End of the permission

The permission to use the mods ends if you break this licence or are no longer a community member. Overdrive Québec may then remove your access to updates, to the server and to the Discord.

The mods are provided as is, with no warranty, by a community of volunteers. Always keep a copy of your game profile.

This licence is governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply there. It is written in French; if they differ, the French version prevails over this English translation.
