Join the Overdrive Québec server on American Truck Simulator
To drive with Overdrive Québec, you need American Truck Simulator 1.61 on Steam and a Windows 10 or 11 PC. Download the free launcher, run its safety check, subscribe to the Workshop collection in Steam and sign in with Steam. Then join the convoy from the game’s session browser. The password shows in the launcher once you are signed in.
The launcher checks your game, its version and the large-convoy setting, then installs the Overdrive mod. “Fix” sorts out what is wrong. Workshop mods you subscribe to yourself, in Steam.
“Fix” writes the line that shows 128-slot servers for you and installs the Overdrive Québec mod, verified by SHA-256.
The server’s other mods come from the Steam Workshop: subscribe to the “overdrive 0.3” collection in Steam. The launcher shows whether they are there and can open the collection, but it does not install them: you subscribe yourself.

If the server does not show
Seeing 128-slot servers
The session browser only shows a 128-slot server if your game accepts 128-player convoys. This line must be in the config.cfg file of your Documents\American Truck Simulator folder:
uset g_max_convoy_size "128"
The launcher’s safety check looks at this setting, and “Fix” writes the line for you.
What drivers ask
Frequently asked questions
Does the launcher install every mod?
No. The launcher installs and checks a single mod: Overdrive Québec. The other required mods come from the Steam Workshop, and you subscribe to them yourself: subscribe to the “overdrive 0.3” collection in Steam. The launcher shows whether they are there and can open the collection, but it never installs them. The server’s optional mods are up to you.
Where is the server password?
The password shows in the launcher once you are signed in with Steam: our server checks your sign-in first. In the game, pick Convoy mode, open the session browser, paste the search ID shown by the launcher, then enter the password when the game asks for it.
Why can’t I find the server in the game?
Check three things. Your game must be on version 1.61, the server’s version: the launcher compares it for you. Your config.cfg file must accept 128-player convoys: the safety check looks at g_max_convoy_size, and “Fix” writes the line. Finally, search for the server with the search ID shown by the launcher: a dedicated server cannot be joined through a direct connection.
Can I keep my own mods?
Yes, if their author marked them optional. The server’s required mods are still needed: the Overdrive Québec mod, which the launcher installs, and the ones from the Workshop collection. Subscribe to the “overdrive 0.3” collection to get every required Workshop mod. The server’s optional mods are up to you.
When are the convoy nights?
Convoy nights are announced in the launcher: its news board shows each night with a countdown. The next announced night also appears on this site’s home page, with its date and its Montréal time. Install the launcher before the night so you can run your safety check ahead of time.
