American Truck Simulator cargo and heavy loads with Overdrive

With the Overdrive Québec mod 3.0.43, 76 heavy and oversize loads of American Truck Simulator are delivered at more companies, through normal jobs, and 56 companies ship the freight of their real industry. Pay follows the weight, the distance and the value of what you haul. And an oversize convoy, a wind tower, is now a delivery job.

Heavy Haul

Heavy and oversize loads

Big loads are no longer kept for special missions: they come through normal jobs, at many more companies that really make or use them. A company keeps an oversize load only if the rig can leave its depots. Heavy and oversize convoys pay 25% more than the same weight of ordinary freight, and they come up about three times less often in the offers.

Freight

Freight by the real industries

Each company ships what its real industry makes: 56 companies got 290 new freight links. Pay follows the cargo's weight, distance and value, as with real carriers.

Oversize load

The wind-tower convoy

The mod adds an oversize convoy: a wind tower 30 m long and 3 m in diameter, on a modular rig 41.64 m long and 4.21 m wide, with the truck in front. You take it as a delivery job, like a heavy load.

A 4-axle gooseneck sits straight on the truck's fifth wheel. The tower rides on two pivots that follow it through turns, and the rear is a single 6-axle bogie. The gooseneck’s 2 rear lines steer, the rest are fixed. The landing legs are at the front.

The tower weighs 149,619 lb (67,866 kg). With the rig, the train behind the truck weighs 249,923 lb in total. Pay follows that weight: about $86 per km, before the game's bonuses.

Pickups: the Port of Oakland and the Port of New Orleans. Deliveries: power plant building sites and a railroad yard.
